Reading in the Content Areas
Reading is prevalent in some capacity in all content areas. Whether students are reading The Odyssey by Homer or directions for how to make lasagna in Family Consumer Science, teaching students how to use reading strategies and tools unique to a particular text is essential to their understanding of new information.
